Active in the sector since 1913, the company has evolved over time: it began as “Impresa di Costruzioni Antonietti & C.”, then became “Impresa Biffi”, and in the 1960s took on its current name, Impresa Ongaro.

OUR HISTORY

1913

The foundation of the company

The history of the construction company "Impresa Ongaro sas" began in 1913 in Monza as “Construction Company Antonietti e C.” with historical documents attesting to its origins, the company began its journey in the construction sector, laying the foundations for a long tradition.

1936

Angelo Biffi acquires the Antonietti company and starts a new phase

In 1936, Master Builder Angelo Biffi took over the company, which became “Antonietti & Biffi Construction Company”. With the certificate from the Ministry of Public Works, the company participates in public competitions. Important works carried out in Monza over the years such as the headquarters of the Banco Ambrosiano, the Casa di Salute for ladies, the Cambiaghi hat factory, the Church of Lissone and many others.

1948

The transition to the Ongaro family, Gian Mario renews the company

Upon Angelo Biffi's death, his nephew Gian Mario Ongaro succeeded him and transformed the company into "Angelo Biffi Construction Company of Ongaro and C."

1964

“Impresa di Costruzioni Ongaro e C. Sas” is born in Monza

In 1964, Gian Mario Ongaro transformed the company into “Impresa di Costruzioni Ongaro e C. Sas”. The new headquarters in Viale Ugo Foscolo 71 in Monza became the heart of operations, a building that still houses the company headquarters and its activity today.

Urban development and collaborations with nationally renowned architects

In the 1960s and 1970s, the company expanded its activities and specialized in new high-standing residential developments, commercial properties and large urban redevelopment projects. The company has contributed to the transformation of the city of Monza, participating in urban renewal projects and collaborating with prestigious architects and designers to create functional and innovative buildings, enriching the social and cultural fabric of the growing community.
